Reviews: Hallstatt day tour in Austria|Fairytale Town|Alps scenic view|Salzburg round-trip

This half day tour is a great and convenient way to visit Hallstat. It is of course more expensive than taking the train or public bus+ferry to get to Hallstat, but it is certainly a time-saver. It's essentially a direct bus trip to Hallstat with a bit of commentary of interesting places that we passed and some history. Once you reached Hallstat, you will go around on your own for about 2.5 hours and the bus will come to pick up at a certain time. The 1.5 hours ride is comfortable and there's a power point at your seat if you need to charge your phone.

Just got back from this tour and had to write my review. We had Susan as our tour guide and she was very helpful and knowledgeable. We had a group of 12 and she safely navigated us to Salzburg and back to Munich. My mom and I enjoyed the tour and day trip out to Salzburg. We enjoyed learning about the history of the city, the tips and restaurant recommendations from Susan, we had ample time to have a nice meal and do a little shopping. Thanks again Susan!

I was surprised to enjoy this place. I also learned a lot about an essential mineral. I had a lot of fun riding down the wooden slide. You’ll need to wear a miner’s overalls which they provide. I highly suggest you wear pants under it. Fun!
Reviews: Salzburg Super Saver: Original Sound of Music and Salt Mines Day Trip

As a huge Sound of Music fan, traveling to Salzburg and seeing the sites where the movie was filmed has been a bucket list item for me. The Original Sound of Music Tour did not disappoint. The credit for this exceptional experience goes to our tour guide (I believe his name was Peter). I loved his humor in his descriptions and especially in his behind the scenes stories. I will never forget his leading us in singing on the bus, especially his acting out of Do, Re, Mi. He was fantastic, and I feel very fortunate he was our guide. In a perfect world, we would have done the Sound of Music tour in the morning while the sun was out, and the Salt Mines tour in the afternoon when it was raining!
