Longtan Grand Canyon is a national 5A-level attraction and a UNESCO Global Geopark. As the core area of Luoyang Daimeishan UNESCO Global Geopark, it features a spectacular canyon landscape dominated by typical red rock barrier valley formations. The canyon boasts interconnected gorges, cascading waterfalls, and towering cliffs, formed through 1.2 billion years of geological sedimentation and 2.6 million years of water erosion. Its unique high-walled valley and dramatic rock formations are rare wonders, earning it titles like "Ancient Ocean Natural Museum," "Canyon Masterpiece," and "Yellow River Water Gallery."
