Reviews: Full-Day Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with 5 Hours at the Site (ENG/ESP/RUS Guided Bus)

Thank you so much for making it easy to book the tour! Especially now that paying by card is difficult. We paid for everything with a Russian Mir card. The tour guide, Vanya (unfortunately, we didn't remember his Chinese name), was a very good person and guide. It was comfortable and wonderful with him! I won't even say much about the wall itself. You definitely need to see it and feel its scale! It's hard to find the words! Thank you so much to Vpna, the driver, and all the organizers for an unforgettable tour!!!

We had an amazing experience with our Amy tour guide in China. The trip to the Great Wall and the Summer Palace was absolutely unforgettable. Our guide was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, and explained the history in a way that was easy to understand and really interesting. Everything was well organized, and we always felt taken care of. The Great Wall was breathtaking, and the Summer Palace was beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend this guide to anyone visiting China – truly an amazing tour!

I'd like to share my experience. It's warm on the wall on January 8th. The temperature is just above freezing. Those accustomed to Far Eastern and Siberian winters with temperatures of -20-30 degrees Celsius will find it very comfortable. We haven't tried the green route. It's shorter (1.5 hours) and easier. We climbed the red route (2.5 hours) from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, taking 40 minutes each way. From 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, it's a stroll. From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, it's a dash up steep steps. The steps are of varying sizes. Watch your step. Wear light shoes. And don't dress too warmly. A wet back, and maybe even something else, will ruin the experience. It's better to dress lightly and sportily, and pack some extra gear in case the wind picks up.

West Section East Section (Nos. 1-6): Slightly less scenic than the West Section No. 1 Watchtower, Dajiaolou, connects three sections of the Great Wall. A round trip takes about 1.5 hours at a normal pace. No. 4 Zhengguantai, a hollow watchtower with a unique design. Middle Section (Nos. 6-14): Gentle slope overall, few steps, average scenery, takes about 1.5 hours to visit. West Section (Nos. 14-20): This section has more concentrated attractions and better scenery. It includes the "He who has not climbed the Great Wall is not a true hero" stele at No. 14, the filming location of "If You Are the One" at No. 15, a terrace in the middle for taking photos and enjoying panoramic views, and Nos. 19-20, the Hero's Slope. This section is steep and requires consideration of individual fitness levels before visiting. A round trip takes about 2.5 hours. Recommended Route: Cable car up, slide down (200 meters). The kilometer-long slide is very exciting (not suitable for those over 60). Cable car up Nos. 14 → Nos. 20 → slide down No. 6. Suitable for energetic people who want to see the whole section, takes about 5 hours. The cable car on the east side goes up and down via a slide, costing 140 meters. The cable car on the west side also costs 140 meters up and down. If you have energy, you can go to the east side first and then the west side, costing 280 meters. If not, you can do only half. On the hiking trails, routes 6, 8, 10-20 (or route 1) are listed. The south hiking trail is slightly easier than the north hiking trail (the north side is higher).
