Qiandao Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou is located in Chun'an County, Zhejiang Province. It is 129 km east of Hangzhou and 140 km west of Huangshan, with a lake area of 573 square kilometers.

With continuous towering mountains submerged in the lake forming 1,078 islands of various sizes, it is hence named "Qiandao Lake" (Thousand-Island Lake).
