Reviews: Amsterdam Zaanse Schans + Giethoorn Day Tour Including One Hour Boat Cruise
Guest User2026-04-21
I had a great time today! Although the weather wasn't great, our driver-guide, Suri, from K7 Travel was very friendly and helpful. The itinerary was well-planned, and we had plenty of time to explore. The windmill village, Legoland, and Giethoorn were all beautiful. Suri often took photos for us. The beef noodles and fried rice she arranged for lunch were delicious. Finally, Suri even took us to see the tulip fields, which were gorgeous! Thank you, Suri!
Reviews: Giethoorn & Zaanse Schans Day Tour with Hotel Pick Up in Amsterdam [Daily Departure]

The windmill villages and Giethoorn were picturesque, and our guide, Su Rui, was enthusiastic, providing punctual pick-up and drop-off – a great experience! At lunchtime, Su Rui recommended Chinese and Western restaurants for us to choose from, and my travel companion and I enjoyed a delicious bowl of beef noodles and beef rice! 😛

It was a perfect trip. Our guide, Deng, was incredibly professional, providing explanations of everything from the sights to the local customs and culture of the Netherlands, making the trip truly worthwhile. My personal suggestion is that you definitely need a talkative person in the front passenger seat; the more you talk, the better Deng will perform.

I originally booked a Chinese-language tour, but there weren't any available that day, so I switched to an English-language tour. Everyone else in the group was a foreigner. Our guide and driver, Reinier, was a young Chinese man who spoke fluent Chinese and would sometimes speak to me separately in Chinese. Overall, it was a great trip. The guide was thoughtful, providing water, umbrellas, chargers, etc., and didn't rush me. His explanations were excellent. The scenery was stunning. Apparently, it's the off-season now, so there were fewer people, but still quite a few. A very worthwhile day trip.

Reviews: Amsterdam, Netherlands: Zaanse Schans Windmill Village and Giethoorn day tour with free boat transfer

A trip to Giethoorn, the Dutch windmill village, is a must! Booking a day tour locally is also a great experience. They picked us up from the hotel at 8 am and returned to the city center at 5:20 pm. Just focus on having fun and don't worry about anything else; the tour guide did an excellent job. Thanks to our guide, Suri! We had a wonderful time, great food, and great listening experience. Highly recommended!
