Pros: Convenient transportation. The taxi driver and I traveled with ease. I'm sensitive to heat, so even though I went in late November, it was 21 degrees Celsius and I was sweating. However, the car's air conditioning kept the ride cool. I had a good conversation with the driver, so staying in some areas for too long wasn't particularly meaningful, and he was always proactive in coordinating with the times to visit crowded areas. Except for the areas with paid admission, he took excellent photos for eight hours straight. He spoke Korean fluently, so there were no major inconveniences during the trip. He explained key points well and made small talk enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, and since I was traveling with my parents, they were very satisfied with the private experience. I was also satisfied. Cons: The miner's lunchbox was delicious, but the museum wasn't that great. The 8-hour time limit meant half the travel time and half the sightseeing time, which was a solid four hours, which I knew was a bit disappointing. Overall: It's perfect for a private getaway with family, a significant other, or someone with a significant other. It's recommended to plan your itinerary in advance. The driver, Mr. Zhao, was friendly. He drove very well and calmly. The bus was comfortable. Gubei is an interesting city.
