Trip.com is the place to buy tickets on-site. They have staff who speak excellent Chinese and offer free luggage storage. I bought my outbound tickets from a random agency on Ctrip for 258 RMB for three people! Later, because I wanted to store my luggage, I found this agency on-site and bought return tickets for 144 RMB for three people. Not only was the price reasonable, but communication was also much easier.

The speedboat trip from Bali to Lembongan Island took about 40 minutes and departed quite punctually. The ride wasn't too bumpy. However, upon arriving at the South Island pier, you need to wade across the water. Since we had children with us, the boat staff kindly helped carry them to the beach; the service was quite good.


