Itinerary
Details: If only the cooking class is booked it will start at the home where the activity happens. You start preparing our signature drink "caipirinha", with a fruit of your choice. While you sip your drink and eat some appetizers, you prepare our famous bread "pão de queijo". You will learn about the ingredients, and their origin and also try the vegetables, cooked in a very simple way, they are part of our cuisine and its roots. Our special cheese is "queijo coalho", to have that you will learn a delicious pineapple pepper jelly that goes together, and also "camarão na tapioca " (deep fried shrimp). Since the desert needs to cool off you prepare that first, "brigadeiro" is a traditional sweet, easy to make, and popular in any Cafes you visit in Brazil. For the main dish you marinate the fish, or prawns, or seafood, which will be part of the "moqueca". The side dishes for that, also prepared, are Brazilian style rice, "pirão", "farofa". To finish the experience, you can have coffee from the Bahia region, followed by liqueur. So if you like a DIY and hands-on type of thing, enthralled with nice conversation and some fun, meanwhile you get tips about Salvador, this class is for you.
