We had the most wonderful city tour in Lima with Haku Tours, and our guide Maverick was absolutely spectacular. From start to finish, he was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about his country. Spending 3–4 hours with him felt less like a tour and more like learning from a friend who truly loves Peru and its history.
Maverick shared fascinating insights about Lima’s past and present, the state of the country, and its culture. Highlights included the beautiful Grand Hotel Bolívar, the San Francisco Monastery & Catacombs in Lima’s historic center, and even a very helpful lesson on how to tell the difference between real and fake alpaca wool items — something I’ll definitely remember while shopping! Oh and I almost forgot the most delicious churros!!!!
His storytelling, patience, and ability to answer questions made the experience an absolute pleasure. If you’re visiting Lima, I highly recommend Haku Tours and specifically ask for Maverick. This tour was a highlight of my time in Peru.★

Valeria was excellent with a strong knowledge of history and perfect English. Her stories of the past history made the tour feel personal and enjoyable. Pickup and drop off were on time and seeing the pyramid in the middle of the city is not to be missed. I highly recommend both the tour and Valeria!!😀★

Outstanding!!! The tour has been the highlight of our trip! We were only going to be in Lima for a couple of days (3) so we wanted to experience as much as possible in a short time. This tour was perfect for starting our stay.
Our Guide, Patrick Mendoza, was absolutely exceptional!!! Patrick is knowledgeable and was able to speak to us about Lima’s history and the culture of the Incan people in such a comprehensive manner. Our tour was informative and Patrick was helpfuland patient . He compassionately articulated in depth the history of lovers park in Kennedy park and the again at the pyramids making the people of the city come to life as he explained the challenges they encountered and the zest and zeal with which they lived. The history of the Franciscans was equally fascinating and well curated by Patrick! As we toured the Franciscan monastery and catacombs, Patrick, through his master story telling helped me appreciate the essence of the St. Francis of Assisi community and the Lima residents’ passion for their faith community. Next we reverently toured the Dominican church which houses the remains of St Rose 🌹 of Lima. Fascinating.
Patrick provided ample time to partake in local cuisines and artistry shops. The churro was delicious!! Make sure to buy more than one! As a world class traveler this tour by Patrick ranks among the best!
