Reviews: Full Day Island Tour, Highlights of São Vicente

A really great tour! I was picked up from my hotel on time, after which we explored Mindello. That took about an hour. Then we drove around the island a bit, as described. A cup of tea or coffee at the top with a small rum tasting (included). The tour continued north to Calhau. We had a delicious meal there (not included). The guide was very friendly and informative. Excellent!
Reviews: Full-Day Tour of Sao Vicente from Mindelo

WELL WORTH YOUR MONEY AND TIME! We were here for 1 day due to a Cruise stop in Mindelo. We had a small group of 8 (Total of 10 with driver & guide) Full day of wonderful sights Very nice lunch (which is included) in a local restaurant served family style (extra if you want sodas, wine or beer) water is served (bottled) Small bus, not able to accommodate mobility scooters or wheelchairs as isle and Bus is narrow. Our day visit was March 17, 2024 a Sunday and the town of Mindelo was pretty much shut down. This tour takes place away from Mindelo. Highly recommend Pick-up for us was away from the ship on cruise terminal (right off the street) be proactive and look for your name (sigh)

Reviews: Ribeira da Barca: Boat Trip to the Cave, Snorkeling and BBQ on the beach

Always accompanied by our guide Sery, we traveled today to the heart of the Ribera Valley, from Barca to a refreshing waterfall where we enjoyed a refreshing walk. We observed the local flora and fauna, including baobab trees, monkeys, and fruit trees. We ended our visit at a unique rum distillery where we received a very warm welcome. Sery's explanations were simply fantastic! He can be reached at: +238 951 77 16

Excellent tour. We visited all the key places of interest with a great guide who explained the history and context of each place. Pick up and drop off at Port was a breeze.
Reviews: Mindelo: creol cooking with Catia
Guest User2026-03-17
Catia, the lovely cook, and her husband Markus (originally from Germany, musician and there for helping with translation) are offering this really nice half day activity in Mindelo. After meeting them at the Mercado Municipal and buying all the necessary ingredients there and afterwarfs at the fishmarket, we took the public transport for some minutes to their house, where the cooking class takes place on the rooftop terrass. While we were helping with pealing and cutting vegetables, Catia took care of the fish and did the majority of all the work. She explains a lot and it was much fun discussing in a mixture of languages about details. When everything was finished we sat down together and had a really tasty lunch, before Markus accompanied us back eith the bus to the Mercado Municipal. Thank you Catia and Markus and the two friendly Dutch ladies (who have been the other two participants) for the nice experience together!
