Kei was so great! Our family picked up a cold while travelling and he kindly let us reschedule. He gave an excellent tour of the castle and answered all our questions. He even walked us back over to see castle illuminations after the tour. But, the true highlight of the tour was the samurai sword training! He stepped everyone though sword techniques and was so encouraging to our young daughter. He even helped us film short movies showcasing the samurai spirit. We will definitely book with him again next visit, so we can film the sequel! Thanks for such a great tour!

It was a great experience to climb the stairs inside the castle. The guide provided a lot of details and information about the architecture, fighting styles, samurai culture and weapons as well as the history of the town and castle, which was great. The samurai experience was also really authentic and it was interesting to try the fighting style myself. The guide had great restaurant recommendations and other tips as well :)

Shin is an amazing guide, he is very patient and knowledgeable, thanks to him I learned a lot about the Matsumoto castle, Matsumoto city and japanese culture, he brought pictures and maps to help explain, because the group is small it's possible to enter shops and move in your own pace.


