We set off late, the guides were cheerful, the water was murky, there weren't many fish, and there were a lot of people. We didn't snorkel much, but swam and dove from the boat.★

The island fee for Mabul Island is 50 MYR, payable by yourself or by scanning a QR code. It's truly beautiful, filled with flowers and Bajau people selling coconuts. It's not ideal for snorkeling, perhaps due to the presence of overwater bungalows. However, the instructors are very helpful. Overall, it's best to just enjoy the scenery and take photos. I recommend our guide, Chen Kaixin; he's super fun and awesome!★

A day trip by speedboat. No Chinese, but surrounded by four Koreans and a group of foreigners. The crew was incredibly helpful. Since I can't swim, they took me down to Koh Tao. I followed them along the way and saw beautiful corals and schools of fish. The weather was fantastic today, during the rainy season in Samui. The clear blue waters of Koh Tao and Nanyuan Island were stunning. There's also accommodation on Koh Tao, which is quite peaceful. I'm considering staying there for two nights.Trip.com Picks
