I don't think I can really convey how awesome our tour was. it all starts with the guide and driver, our guide Endo was the most sincere and knowledgeable local who invited us into his part of the world with open arms. we were lucky enough to have only the 2 of us on tour so it was really personal. the temple/town was incredible with such strong history of peace and war, the hike was unreal "very easy" fyi. but what a beautiful part of the world. thank you Endo for an incredible time, wish to see you again★

The overall itinerary was somewhat rushed due to Japanese driver service time regulations. The Takayama leg of the trip was particularly tight, mainly because completing a meal and a full visit to the Takayama Jinya (traditional Japanese houses) within two hours was quite strenuous. Two hours was more than enough for the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village. The tour guide was very professional and nice, and his explanations were quite interesting. The group members came from all over the world, with mainland Chinese tourists making up about 10%, making it a very international team.About
