Excellent tour, I loved everything. The only unpleasant thing was that after the hot springs, they took me to Karen Village, which wasn't on the itinerary, and asked me to pay a 300 baht entrance fee. Everything else was on the itinerary and there were no extra charges. Meals were free at the buffet.★

It was a fantastic experience. I specifically chose an English-speaking guided tour just to practice my listening skills. We boarded the bus at 7 am and were dropped off at 8 pm, a full 13 hours of travel. Exhaustion was inevitable, but compared to the driver, we were very relaxed and comfortable. We didn't visit the Long Neck Karen village (we were a little scared). The hot spring was small but impressive; the 91-degree boiling water was intimidating. We didn't try the hot spring eggs; 20 baht for 3 eggs was a bit too much for us, so we decided against it. The White Temple, Blue Temple, and Red Temple are definitely worth seeing. We had plenty of time and took fewer photos, so we felt we had enough time to see everything we wanted. Since it was midday, it was difficult to find suitable lighting, and there were too many people, so the photos are only so-so. They would be perfect for photos in the softer light of early morning or late afternoon; we'll have to stay in Chiang Rai next time to achieve that.★

The vehicle was a Toyota van. The tour accommodated 12 passengers, plus the guide and driver, for a total of 14 people. I participated alone, but the others were in groups of two or more. I've traveled to Chiang Mai several times, but I'd always wanted to visit Chiang Rai. This time, I saw an affordable tour from Trip.com and immediately signed up. Chiang Rai is about 190km from Chiang Mai on regular roads, which is quite a long way. The road passes through mountainous areas, with many curves and I almost got carsick, but I managed to get there. While road widening work is being done along the way, many narrow sections mean that this tour may not be recommended for those who are not comfortable with long car rides. Nearly 70% of the tour was the round-trip time, including breaks. The guide used AI to efficiently navigate each spot, making sightseeing at each one a smooth experience. The tour included entrance fees and lunch, making it a great value. I recommend it for those looking for an efficient trip to Chiang Rai. For lunch, we had a Thai buffet at a restaurant near White Temple. The hotel pick-up service in the morning is also very convenient.★

Our tour from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai with Kenny and his driver was exceptional. Communication before pickup was clear and reassuring, and the journey itself was safe, comfortable, and well-organized. Kenny is a knowledgeable guide who explained each site — the hot spring, White Temple, Baan Dam, Golden Triangle, and Blue Temple — with engaging detail. The driver’s careful driving made the long trip relaxing. Thoughtful touches, like buying fresh local pineapples for us to try, showed genuine care. The tour guide and driver were very responsible, and overall it was a very fulfilling trip. The lunch buffet was also very good. However, the distance from the Black Temple to the Golden Triangle is quite long. The boat ride, free time to explore the area, and then the return trip took a total of three hours. It wasn't raining or congested that day, and the driver even drove quite fast. We left at 7:30 AM and arrived back in Chiang Mai at 10 PM. Travelers planning this trip should plan their itinerary accordingly.★

It was a tour that made me feel like I got a good deal for the price! I became friends with the guide and he was very kind, giving me fruit at various points. Since we traveled long distances a lot, it would have been great if the van ride had been a little more comfortable!
