The scenery was truly beautiful. The ticket collection process was also very easy. The customer service was very polite and even reminded us of our itinerary the day before. There were also plum blossoms!

The show was amazing. Even more than I expected from the show. It runs for almost an hour and it rained and they still performed it. We got VIP but honestly any seat is good there. The only downside was the crowd. They were very disruptive despite signs and rules about noise level and tardiness. Best to go earlier and enjoy the amazing restaurants in the area. Also lots to do as West Lake prior to the show.

I was very fortunate to participate in the West Lake cultural and historical tour led by Professor Zhou Nan. From Qianwang Temple and Leifeng Pagoda to Yue Fei Temple, Professor Zhou's explanations were professional and vivid, making what would otherwise be dry historical details lively and interesting. The boat trip on Xiaoyingzhou Island was a delightful experience, and the subsequent visits to Xiling Seal Engraving Society and Zhejiang Provincial Museum were the highlights, allowing me to deeply appreciate the cultural atmosphere of Hangzhou. The entire itinerary was well-organized and offered an excellent experience—a high-level cultural feast, highly recommended!

It was amazing. China wins hands down when it comes to performances. It was very grand and the performers looked like they were performing on water. The lighting and stage props were good too. They even had a mist emitting scent thing that emitted out different scent at different scenes!! It would have been great thought if they sang live and played the instruments live. The sound recording didn’t felt like it was live.


