
Shaoxing Keyan Scenic Area dates back to the Han Dynasty, boasting a history of over 1,800 years. Rooted in the millennia-old Yue culture, it showcases Shaoxing's unique cultural resources including stone culture, water culture, bridge culture, wine culture, opera culture, celebrity culture, and folk customs. The meticulously designed Jian Lake attraction, set against 800 li of picturesque lakes and mountains, revives the former glory of Shaoxing's "mother lake" while highlighting the profound essence of the region's distinctive water, bridge, and wine cultures. This scenic area integrates ancient Yue culture with historic quarry relics, blending Shaoxing's water town charm, ancient quarry landscapes, and mountain forest ecology. Anchang Ancient Town is a famous historical and cultural town in Zhejiang Province. It was first built during the Northern Song Dynasty, later destroyed multiple times due to wars, and rebuilt during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Its architectural style inherits the typical characteristics of Jiangnan water towns. Connected by waterways, this ancient town exudes rustic elegance and is renowned for its local specialties like Anchang sausages and hand-pulled sugar candies. The unique water town wedding customs add to its charm, and it's also the hometown of Shaoxing's famed legal advisors. The town preserves historical relics such as the Hangzhou-Ningbo Canal, ancient bridges, and the old towpath, earning the poetic reputation of "emerald waters threading through countless homes, with seventeen rainbow-like bridges spanning the river."
