Emily did a spectacular job organizing a tour of Quanzhou for my two children and I.  She showed us several important historic sites and completely customized her talking points to appeal to and educate my children (9 and 11). Everything about the trip was throughtfully done and conveniently exeucuted. From seamless van pick-ups to her graciousness in allowing my daughter to use her electric fan all day long to her recommendations for restaurants and ice cream, Emily is a friendly, interesting, knowledgeable guide.  We want to come back and see much more of Quanzhou with Emily as our guide. Highly recommend this trip to a delightful, historically important, and culturally very interesting city.

Highly recommend this. A fascinating day out. A professional, knowledgeable, friendly guide who brought history alive. Jane is a gifted story-teller. A fantastic driver and very comfortable car. Lunch was memorable. Outstanding.

The exchange process at the dock counter was so-so; because there weren't many people exchanging money, the counter staff weren't very familiar with the process. Actually, you can just pay directly at the restaurant, which is more convenient than buying vouchers. Overall, it's a pretty good beef restaurant. When it's crowded, you might have to wait or make a reservation. When we went, it was full as soon as we sat down. The best dish was definitely the freshly sliced, still-warm beef. It was incredibly tender, with no gamey taste, cooked quickly, and very smooth when cooked in the broth. It was also delicious dipped in a ginger and vinegar sauce. The other dishes weren't as outstanding as the still-warm beef, but they were still good accompaniments. The taro and beef balls were delicious, and the cabbage was sweet and refreshing; choosing your own combinations was a good idea.

It was a fantastic trip! Our guide, Xiao Zhang, not only showed us around Quanzhou's local customs and culture but also took many beautiful photos for us. We had a wonderful time. Chatting with the driver and guide along the way, we learned many interesting local stories. I hope to come back again sometime!
