This private guided tour was absolutely worth it! A good guide is the soul of exploring historical sites. As Xiucai mentioned, our guide, Chen, was fantastic—a super in-depth explanation that highlighted all the essential details, without any of the superficial "been there, done that" kind of tour. With the kids, we learned so many interesting and informative stories about the Forbidden City. It was so much fun and enriching! I wish there was a longer option next time; we didn't get enough! We definitely want to hire Chen again next time we bring our parents and elders, haha 🤗
