Reviews: Glow-worms, Waterfalls & Rainforest Experience

The excursion was nice! The vibes in the van while driving out of byron were great thanks to the fun guide, who also gave us lots of input. First waterfall was ok. It was quite rushed and felt a bit strange. Half of us went for a swim, the other half stood around and didn’t know what to do. Then we entered the rainforest which was AMAZING! Great second waterfall but no wildlife at all :( we went back, had lunch (only 2 options - I didn’t like it). And lastly we went back in for glowworms and bioluminescenct mushrooms. The mushrooms and glowworms were great but it was way to strict! A lot of talking, a lot of rules, he even insisted of a specific time frame when we were allowed to take photos - outside of that frame it was forbidden. Thankfully on the way home we found a giant snake and stopped, which was really cool and made the whole experience a lot better for me!

Wonderful tour with just the right balance of educational information and fun experiences for children and adults alike. We loved pulling in the crab pots, yabby pumping on the sandbar, fishing and enjoying the wildlife. The children have not stopped talking about it. Thanks heaps to Dave and his deckhand for your friendly good humour and sharing your knowledge of the Tweed River area. We would high recommend this tour to all ages. Great family fun.
Reviews: Byron Bay: Whale Watching Tour

Unforgettable Whale & Dolphin Watching Experience in Byron Bay! First time in Byron Bay and we just had the BEST whale and dolphin watching experience! We went out on a simple dinghy, close to the water, which made everything feel so real and authentic — nothing like the big, impersonal tours. The team of guides was absolutely awesome — super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the ocean and its wildlife. They made the whole experience engaging and fun, answering all our questions and making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. Seeing whales and dolphins up close in such a natural, respectful setting was truly unforgettable. If you're looking for a more intimate, local adventure that’s far from touristy, this is the way to do it. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

The tour was amazing! I can highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature and wants to learn more about Australian wildlife. Matt is super friendly, passioned and knowledgeable. It was definitely one of the highlights of my time in Byron Bay. I especially loved the mix of kayaking and the short hike – a perfect combination!
