This was a fun experience, but it's worth being aware that if it's windy you cannot ride the cable car. The capybara were cute and free roaming at the entrance, but the zoo is a bit small and sad looking. Many animals seem to be hungry to encourage them to interact with people who can buy food to feed them. Many nocturnal animals in lit up areas, it made me feel a bit uneasy. Our tour guide didnt speak English, I was very lucky I had people who spoke Chinese who relayed the day to me.ā

Winter days are short and the day gets dark early, so the itinerary was quite rushed. We arrived in Hakone in the morning and didn't get to visit the art museum. We rushed to Lake Yamanaka around 3 PM to take photos of Mount Fuji with its backlighting. The driver was a Chinese woman who had lived in Japan for over 20 years. She drove steadily and chatted with us the whole way, which was very nice. It was a small group of 9 people, but that day it was just our family of 4, which was great. šā

Tour guide Hu is very responsible, works seriously, and explains in detail. The driver drives smoothly and is great! The itinerary in Izu is very reasonable. Mount Omuro is beautiful on a sunny day. It was a very pleasant day.ā

This was truly an unforgettable day trip! The magnificent scenery was breathtaking, from the fun-filled pirate ship ride on Lake Ashi to the geothermal steam of Owakudani, every stop was perfectly timed and well-organized. The tour guide was friendly and helpful, providing rich and engaging explanations that allowed us to learn a great deal while enjoying the beautiful views. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Tokyo! šī„
