▲ Ready to experience the breathtaking starry sky? Don't say we didn't warn you! Come explore our 75-minute starry spectacle! At least 60 minutes will be spent roaming under the stars with our experienced guide.

▲ We use a powerful 14-inch telescope to clearly observe various deep-sky objects invisible to the naked eye, such as planets, star clusters, and nebulae. With a special astronomical laser, we can easily observe important stars and constellations with the naked eye.

▲ Our tour benefits continue! With a maximum group size of 10 travelers, we maintain one of the lowest telescope-to-traveler ratios in the Tekapo area. This ensures everyone has ample time with the telescopes and opportunities to ask our guide questions. Traveling with children? Wonderful! We're passionate about sharing the night sky with kids, and our tours welcome participants of all ages, including infants. Each tour allows one infant, who must be booked for the earliest departure time available that evening. Please contact us directly before booking an infant-inclusive tour so we can check availability.

▲ At the end of the night sky tour, your guide will take a group photo of your team under the stars (weather permitting), capturing this perfect moment. This is also a gift from us to you! We will upload your photos to our public Flickr website within 48 hours and email you a link to download the digital copies, so you can share them with family and friends, or even on social media.

▲ Our stargazing site is exceptionally dark, being one of the areas in Tekapo with minimal light pollution. We are honored to conduct our stargazing tours within the gold-rated Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, which boasts some of the darkest night skies on Earth.

▲ Offers free transportation for round-trip between the Silver River Stargazing office in Tekapo and the stargazing site just minutes from Lake Tekapo town, providing warm and comfortable down jackets, along with a free photo taken under the stars that you can share via the provided digital link.

▲ Stargazing activity duration varies with sunset times, with different time slots arranged throughout the seasons. From October to March, stargazing hours are from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM (next day). Specific schedules are subject to actual bookings. You may contact customer support in advance to check available booking times.
