Reviews: Colosseum Underground & Ancient Rome Guided Tour

A great tour that covers SO much ground and information! Definitely worth it. Well organized, although my tour was delayed by an hour. I still had a great time with my friends.
Reviews: Best of Rome Walking Tour including Trevi Fountain
Guest User2026-02-13
We enjoyed a fantastic walking tour with Caitlin last week. We were only in Rome for 2 days so wanted to make the most of it. It was very rainy, she texted ahead to see if we were still wanting to do tour or if we wanted to reschedule- very convenient and thoughtful. We went ahead and it was only 4 of us so even better! Caitlin had an extensive background in archeology so she provided us with lots of fascinating information about Ancient and Modern Day Rome’s history, religion, arts and culture. We walked by all of the major sites in central Rome including Piazza Navona, the Pantheon (admission not included but we went back and saw), Trevi Fountain, Piazza de Pietra. It was much more enjoyable and interesting with a guide. We also got to see the inside of a beautiful church whose name I forgot. We took as much time as we wanted, were never rushed, and got loads of insider info and advice. This was a wonderful experience and was so happy to have such a thoughtful and enthusiastic guide who clearly loves Rome, its history, and wants to share this with tourists from all over the world.
Reviews: Colosseum Arena Floor, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill Tour
Guest User2026-01-30
A fantastic Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Colosseum Arena tour, led by the wonderful Laura. Our group was a perfect size (11 people), and Laura’s passion, knowledge, and genuine love for Roman history really shone through. After meeting near the Crown Tours office and grabbing a refreshing coffee and sandwich at Café Polveriera, we headed to the Forum and Palatine Hill, where Laura truly brought ancient Rome to life — you could almost picture the traders and daily bustle of the city. A short walk took us to the Colosseum, and being part of a small group meant skipping the long queues with only a short wait to enter. A quick reminder: photo ID is essential — no ID, no entry — and there are multiple security checks, but once inside the arena it’s absolutely worth it. Standing so close really brings home how impressive (and terrifying) it must have been. A brilliant tour and well worth paying a little extra for a small group and such an exceptional guide.

Excellent. We had plenty of time, and the staff led us into the Vatican Museums, allowing us to explore at our own pace.
Reviews: Rome: Introduction to the Colosseum and Ancient City Tour
Guest User2025-10-11
Our tour guide was fabulous, she was knowledgeable and I gave her an extra special 5 Star rating on Google. She was a certified tour guide, with an excellent knowledge of ancient history and the area. Pleasant and funny, she had great answered to my many questions and very polite and caring. Highly recommend this tour. The only thing is that the tour office itself is really crowded and it was hard to find the right tour. Excellent pizza and sub place caddy corner to the left, across the street too.
