Next, we visit Plaza Cuartel, a former Spanish-era garrison w/deep significance as a World War II memorial. Now a peaceful park, it honors American POWs & offers a quiet place to reflect on the city's past. Then, we'll stroll along the Puerto Princesa Baywalk, a lively coastal promenade lined w/food stalls. This area offers picturesque waterfront views & a glimpse into daily life in Puerto Princesa. On our route, we'll pass by Balayong Park, home to Palawan Cherry Blossom trees, or “Balayong.” This park recently hosted an international sports event, showcasing the city's growth & natural beauty. If in season, the cherry blossoms add a lovely touch of pink to your journey. At Binuatan Weaving Creations, you'll see Filipino artisans crafting beautiful items from indigenous fibers, including bags & decor. This is a great place to purchase a handmade souvenir as a reminder of Palawan's artisanal heritage. Next, we'll head to Mitra Ranch, located atop a hill that offers sweeping views of Puerto Princesa & Honda Bay on clear days, the ranch is a serene stop to relax and take in the landscape. At Baker's Hill, enjoy some of Puerto Princesa's famous pastries like hopia & crinkles. This whimsical bakery & garden have colorful statues & fun photo spots, ideal for enjoying local treats. Nature lovers will appreciate Crocodile Farm & Nature Park (Palawan Wildlife Rescue & Conservation Center). Here, you can see Philippine crocodiles up close & learn about conservation efforts. Our final stop is a Pasalubong Center, where you'll find local souvenirs, crafts & treats. “Pasalubong” refers to bringing home gifts for loved ones & you'll find plenty of unique items here. To complete your day, unwind with a 1-hour spa experience, including access to a sauna & a soothing massage to help you recharge.
