Transylvania: Hike and fly by paraglider day trip

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in beautiful Transylvania. Combine hiking, sightseeing, and paragliding in one whole-day package. Hike up with your guide to the paragliding take-off located near the exquisite village of Rimetea, in the Alba county, (not very far from Cluj-Napoca city) a UNESCO Heritage site since 1987. That is where our meeting place will be.

The trail leading to the take off is about a 2-hour hike with a 600m difference of level with a 10 kg backpack which will take you on a serene, beautiful wild path through the forest, up above rocks, with scenic views and a transcendental vibe. If you are used to hiking this path will be very easy for you.

Experience the true authentic Romanian outdoors in all its splendor, the quiet of the village and its magical vibe, far away from the hustle and bustle of civilization. You will have the impression that in this place the time has stopped.

After this beautiful hike, you will be rewarded with a magical paraglider flight. From the take-off, start, together with your guide, just by running a few steps, and in seconds you will be floating above this magical terrain, surrounded by ragged cliffs and beautiful forest.

The flight can last anywhere between 30 minutes up to 3 hours depending on thermal lift, conditions and how you feel while flying. We will land close to the edge of the village, Rimetea. Have some time to explore the village, take a snack, and your guide will share more options to do in this beautiful valley before leaving.
