Itinerary
Explore the hidden side of Canberra with expert nature guide, Sam Nerrie. Enjoy a walk through very old forests of the Blakely's ghostly gum trees and enjoy vistas of fields of flowers and native grasses. On this special tour you will find some of the fascinating local wildlife, plants and birds that inhabit some of the reserves around Canberra. Canberra is known as the bush capital of Australia as it has left a wide fringe of bushland around the city and suburban regions.

The tour encompasses visits to the best wild places around Canberra including Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, Red Hill and Mulligan's Flat Woodlands. We also visit the Canberra Deep Space Communication Centre on the way to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. Sometimes seen are Eastern Water Dragons, Emus, Swamp Wallabies, Gang Gang Cockatoos, Eastern Rosellas, Superb Parrots, Kookaburras, Echidnas, Potoroo and many other species.

Join Sam and visit her favourite wild places around Canberra.

Lunch and a non-alcoholic drink at a cafe is included as are entry fees to all parks and reserves.

Journey starts in the city at your hotel and it will end back at your hotel or other specified place. Pickup at hotels include hotels within a 8 km radius of the city as well as those within the city.
