Itinerary
Depart from Fukuoka and drive all the way into the quiet hinterland of Kyushu's mountains to start a one-day journey that combines nature, legends and healing moments.
Soon, we will reach the first stop of today's itinerary - Takachiho Gorge. Known as one of Japan's most beautiful gorges, it gathers all the romantic elements of waterfalls, gorges and mountain forests, making it a healing secret place gifted by nature. Step into the gorge, and you'll find the stream crystal clear. You can choose to take a boat tour, gliding through the depths of the gorge, and looking up, you can see the spectacular view of Manai Waterfall falling from a height. Alternatively, you can opt for a walking tour, wandering between the gorges, with greenery surrounding you at every step. Boat Tour: If the boat tour is canceled due to force majeure such as rainstorms and floods, a partial refund can be ) processed subsequently.

After leaving the gorge, we will head to the next attraction of the day - Takachiho Scenic Railway (at your own expense) . This slow journey on an old railway preserves the most primitive appearance of Kyushu's countryside. The lovely retro train moves forward slowly, as if driving into a gentle Japanese-style movie. The open carriages allow you to embrace the mountain wind to the fullest. The train shuttles between valleys, mountain roads and ancient bridges, and every scene makes you can't help but slow down your breathing.Commencing February 1st, we're delighted to offer all guests a unique wooden keepsake – the Takachiho Magatama, a traditional Japanese charm steeped in ancient mythology and symbolism. Note: The Takachiho Scenic Railway will not operate for maintenance on the third Thursday of each month in 2026. On that day, the itinerary will be adjusted to visit Takachiho Shrine.
To wrap up our journey, we'll reach the last destination of the day ,Amano Yasugawara . This place is quiet and sacred, Walk slowly on this land, with gurgling streams and singing birds along the way, and your body and mind can be completely calm at this moment. Enter the cave, and deep inside are piles of stone towers all over the ground. It is said that these are traces left by believers after making wishes. The little piles of stones exude a solemn and quiet atmosphere, as if briefly overlapping with another world, mysterious but not oppressive, drawing a gentle end to this healing journey.

This journey features the clear and magnificent Takachiho Gorge, the rural comfort of the scenic railway, and the profound tranquility of the mythological site Amano Hashidate. It perfectly allows people to calm down and rediscover the rhythm of nature.

Notes:- There are many stone steps in Takachiho Gorge, and the round-trip hike takes about 30 minutes. It is recommended to wear comfortable sports shoes, and this part is not suitable for people with limited mobility.Children aged 0–3 may join the tour, but **for safety reasons**, please consult customer service in advance.
