When you visit Kyoto, be sure to capture memorable photos in the iconic Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery while learning why this area is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our first stop is Tenryu-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you'll experience the beauty of traditional Japanese gardens and the spirit of Zen, carefully preserved for more than 700 years. After passing through the temple's serene grounds, we arrive at one of Kyoto's most enchanting sights—the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. As you walk through this mystical landscape, your guide will explain why this breathtaking forest is closely connected to the UNESCO World Heritage designation, allowing you to truly feel the harmony between nature and culture.
The tour also includes a stroll past the guide's recommended kawaii (cute) character shops and local souvenir stores. Guests are welcome to stop and browse Kyoto's famous matcha sweets, delicate wagashi (traditional Japanese confections), and beautifully crafted bamboo-themed artisan goods—perfect souvenirs to complete your Arashiyama experience.
The guide will accompany you across Togetsukyo Bridge and to the Monkey Park area, where the guided tour concludes.
Should you wish to visit the Monkey Park, you are welcome to continue on a self-guided hike at your own pace.
Please note that admission to the Monkey Park is not included.
