Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Swakopmund. Head to the stables and meet your guide. Get fitted with your helmet and saddle up. Set off on a horseback ride through the Namib Desert, crossing the green but dry, lonesome Swakop riverbed with its lush vegetation of desert plants, adapted bushes, and trees.

On the other side of the riverbed, enter the tranquil desert with its red stone dunes, black quartz formations, and hills, gravel plains, and sandy canyons. Enjoy the solitude, space, and quietness as you ride from viewpoint to viewpoint along granite dunes and rose and white quartz.

Take in spectacular 360-degree views over the riverbed and its farms, the Namib, and the Moon landscape.

Learn about the adapted desert plants, animals, and their tracks as well as the local culture from your guide. For experienced riders, enjoy a couple of faster canters. With beginner riders, walk and explore more of the stony ridges of the mountains.
