Meet your guide at a public location with parking and facilities in Northeast Mesa, close to Tonto National Forest. Begin with a safety talk before heading out on a short drive to the off-road access point.
Enter Bulldog Canyon off of Ellsworth onto forest road 3554. Drive along a sandy road that looks like a BMX video game. Exit Bulldog Canyon by the Salt River, then take a short drive on the road to the next off-road access point.
Pass Saguaro Lake and enter the rolls through the Pobrecito access point. Spend the remainder of the trip in the Four Peaks Wilderness area.
Enjoy a scenic view on top of the Four Peaks Mountain Range. Keep an eye out for desert animals such as horses, coyotes, javelina, and snakes.
