Our guide, Primos (spelling?) was outstanding! He shared facts and stories about the places we visited and modified our tour when we were too tired to do much more walking. He is rightfully very proud of his city, Lyubljana, and made us feel like we were visiting a friend showing off his hometown. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you for a memorable day!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were lucky enough to be in a small group and he explained what to expect during the drive before each activity. The Škocjan caves are truly breathtaking, but there are some parts where it might be slippery and there are quite a number of steps during the trek. Piran is lovely and we were blessed with fantastic weather during our day there. Again, the views of the sea and coastal areas are fantastic and the tour guide was clear in his explanations and gave extra information and recommendations which was really helpful.

Jerneja was a wonderful guide for our truffle hunting and preparing tour. She introduced us to truffle hunter Valdi and his lab/golden retriever mix Bistra and explained the rigorous training that was required for such an endeavor as well as gave interesting background information about truffles (including useful tips on how to spot real and fresh truffles at a restaurant). Bistra found about 8 truffles during our 45 minute hunt. Best of all, we then went back to Jerneja’s house where she taught us how to prepare and cook some of the truffles we had just gathered in a delicious fuži pasta dish, accompanied with some wine, juice and small bites. Overall a really fun, tasty and informative culinary adventure!

This was one of the best and most comprehensive historical tours I have taken. Not only did I have a knowledgeable and engaging guide, but the content and context of Bagamoyo’s history and its placement in Tanzania. History was so fascinating and captivating. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dar Es Salaam as a way to better appreciate the complex colonial history of Tanzania.

Was easy to find the tour as it was right at the NCL Pier! The guide was informative on our way to Piran. We had enough time in Piran to walk on our own...shop...and have lunch. Beautiful town on the water.


