Explore one of the smallest states in Mexico, Queretaro. Start by visiting Bernal, a picturesque colonial village with colorful houses and buildings. Go on a guided walk around the Peña de Bernal, one of the tallest stone monoliths in the world, and admire the sheer rock face. Take free time to climb the Peña and have delicious food in a traditional restaurant located in the town center. After lunch, enjoy more free time to explore the village's nooks and crannies.
Next up is Tequisquiapan, another characteristic village known for its mineral spas and well-preserved cobbled streets. Explore the town markets – the premier spot to peruse Querétaro handicrafts, including basketry, embossing, textiles, clay, ceramics, silver, metals, and opals. Go on a walking tour to the town's main square and see the monument to the geographic center of the country.
Return to Mexico City around 6:00 pm.
