Itinerary
In Amboise, in the Loire Valley, Leonardo da Vinci spent the last three years of his life at the Château du Clos Lucé, at the invitation of King Francis I. There, he dedicated himself to perfecting his inventions and studying grand projects for the King, before passing away on May 2, 1519.

Step into the private world of this Italian genius. Explore the park, a veritable open-air museum, and discover his major works and inventions. Enjoy a unique visit and an immersive, fun, and interactive experience for everyone.

Discover all the facets of Leonardo da Vinci's world at the Château du Clos Lucé in three parts:

• The Château allows you to enter the "private" world of Leonardo da Vinci's home. Visitors can explore his apartments, the Renaissance rooms, and his newly restored workshops. An exhibition of inventions conceived by the Italian artist, focusing on military engineering, urban planning, mechanics, flying machines, and hydraulics, is also on display.

• The Park retraces all of Leonardo's passions, developed through the study and understanding of nature, via a landscaped trail dedicated to discovering the knowledge of the Italian Master. This journey is brought to life by 20 giant interactive machines, 8 audio stations, and 40 translucent canvases.

• New: The Château du Clos Lucé continues its mission of recreating the world of Leonardo da Vinci in a new cultural and museum space. Through an immersive and interactive experience, visitors can discover two major facets of Leonardo da Vinci's expertise: painting and architecture.
