From Naples: Day Trip to Mount Vesuvius

Reach the most characteristic place in the region Campania - Mount Vesuvius . The most feared volcano is the best place to admire the entire Gulf of Naples from above.

Start your trip from Naples city centre and reach Vesuvius in comfort on board of air-conditioned exclusive bus.
After 30 minutes of driving you will enter the National Park, where you can observe the vegetation and the beautiful views. The driver will leave you at an altitude of 1000 meters from where you will start a walk of about 1 km until you reach the crater. Once at the summit you will be able to admire the breathtaking view and learn more about the geology of the volcano from the breif introduction of local mountain guide provided by National Park.

You will learn about the numerous transformations of the mountain due to its volcanic nature and how this force of nature was able to destroy the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Afterwards, you'll have free time to walk around the crater and take photos before boarding the bus and returning to Naples.
