Our tour guide Paolo was great in explaining all historical details of both cities, Braga and Guimarães. The monuments, palace, churches and towns were astonishing. We were in awe of the beauty and architecture. Words couldn’t describe the wonders we had the privilege of seeing. Paolo also took us to a local restaurant that was included with a delicious menu of local cuisine. The experience was priceless and definitely recommend to do this day tour when visiting Porto. It’s worth every penny.

A really good trip. Lots of historical sites. Pedro, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was also very funny. The tour included private chapel viewings not open to the public. Highly recommended!

Our full day trip with João to Braga and Guimares couldn't gave been better. João was engaging, very knowledgeable of our sites and the history of things we visited--in an interesting way, and continuously expressed interest in us, our comfort, pace and desires. Both cities were charming and worth visiting, a delicious lunch included at a fine restaurant, and a very fine, comfortable Mercedes vehicle. João was charming and the weather smiled at us.

Please allow me to submit a review. Thursday, September 25, 2025 Departure from Porto: Hiking & Swimming in Peneda-Geres National Park [Title] Enjoy northern Portugal beyond just the historic district, hills, and Bifana! [Content] Under a clear autumn sky, we walked for 1 hour and 15 minutes (4.8 km) along a well-maintained mountain path, admiring the magnificent greenery and giant rocks. We arrived at a lagoon in the mountains that felt like paradise. Surrounded by the clear blue lagoon, we ate our packed sandwiches while listening to the babbling brook and birdsong, and then relaxed for about 1.5 hours. Once completely refreshed, we relaxed and returned the way we came. Peneda-Geres National Park, located at the northernmost tip of Portugal, is a mountainous area that straddles the Spanish border. It is about 100 km from Porto (it took about 2 hours one way), and there is no public transport, so it would be difficult to get there on your own. That's why joining this tour was absolutely the right decision. The guide, who knows this area inside and out, will teach you the necessary knowledge and precautions, but rest assured that they will never crack jokes like the guides on other large bus tours (jokes that I, with my weak English, couldn't understand).
