We took advantage of the first Sunday of the month....free entry...moving queue...the works inside are phenomenal...we went to see Michelangelo's David, a copy of which is in the Loggia dei Lanzi...we found a fascinating and rich museum and we also discovered the exhibition of musical instruments...among which there was a violin and a viola by the legendary Stradivari.

They ar elevated right next to the Accademia— easy to find. Our tour guide was also wonderful! You could tell she really appreciated Michelangelo and his work. She gave lots of insight into the whole museum and Michelangelo himself.
