Enjoy approximately 2.5 hours of free time to explore its cobbled streets, cafés, and historic landmarks. An optional guided walking tour is included, offering insight into Kilkenny's Norman history and craft traditions. You may also choose to visit Kilkenny Castle during your free time (entrance not included).

Leaving Kilkenny behind, travel into the wild beauty of the Wicklow Mountains, often called the “Garden of Ireland.” Watch the scenery change from rolling farmland to dramatic glacial valleys as you drive through mountain passes and stop for photos at scenic viewpoints, including Wicklow Gap (weather permitting), a landscape made famous by films such as Braveheart.

Continue to the peaceful valley of Glendalough, home to one of Ireland's most important early Christian settlements. Founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century, this monastic site is surrounded by lakes and forested hills. Spend approximately 2 hours 15 minutes exploring the area, including an optional guided short walking tour led by your guide. Discover the Round Tower, ancient churches, and scenic lakeside paths at your own pace.

A highlight for many guests is a visit to a traditional Wicklow sheep farm. Watch skilled shepherds demonstrate live sheepdog trials, showcasing the remarkable partnership between farmer and dog, a tradition central to rural Irish life.
