Meet your local guide at the main opera house and get to know the other travelers. You'll then walk through the streets before having a welcome toast. Enjoy a tasty kick-off with a Sicilian beer (or wine) and a delicious meat treat unknown to tourists.
Learn about the Sicilian lifestyle as you stroll towards the old port of Palermo. Stop at street food stalls in the heart of Vucciria and sample the best bites selected by your local guide.
We only offer what locals eat, not what tourists like or expect. So stretch your belly and get ready to try some classics of Sicilian street food like the panel chickpea fritters, potato croquette, the rich Sicilian focaccia but also some challenging bites like the famous-infamous spleen sandwich. Add to this other traditional street food unknown to tourists like the legendary baked ravazzata with ragù sauce!
You will get plenty of street food to replace a full meal.
All of this goes with Sicilian beer and wine!
The small group allows for easy interaction with your guide and the rest of the group. Your guide will then show you hidden spots and discuss several topics during the walk, from history to art to social and controversial topics. Feel free to ask your guide whatever you want. We don't want travelers to just see Palermo, We want travelers to feel the Palermo and learn about locals' life.
The walk ends with a sweet goodbye, either a Cannoli or other seasonal bites in our favorite pastry shop.
It's all packed in one: an intriguing food experience combined with local drinks teasing and an immersive cultural walking tour!
