Discover some of South Africa's most beautiful fauna and flora at the Tenikwa Wildlife Center. Your guide will welcome you and provide a breakdown of the planned activities for the day as you arrive at the center. Your outdoor adventure begins with either with a wildlife tour or a walk through the indigenous Tsitsikamma forest on this private protected forest reserve. Follow your guide along ancient paths and learn about the historical logging activities that took place here. See giant hardwood trees, interesting fungi, and beautiful orchids as you make your way along the meandering paths towards mossy, pebbled streams. If you're lucky, you may spot a Knysna Loerie, or the rare and shy Narina Trogon, both native to the mature evergreen forests of South Africa. Discover the secret forest glade where giant tree ferns throw dappled light onto the forest floor, before returning to enjoy a delicious freshly prepared lunch platter. The guided wildlife walking tour provides the opportunity to see and learn about the different wild cats of South Africa. Walk through the animals' habitats along elevated walkways where you can see and photograph the cats and other wildlife.
