Etna: Guided Tour to the Summit Craters - North Slope

We will meet at Piano Provenzana - Etna Nord at an altitude of 1800 meters, for a brief initial briefing.

Before leaving you will buy tickets for the 4x4 Bus - extra payment to be made on site - that will take you up to the summit area at 2800 m.

Among sands and lava flows you will reach the summit area making a stop at the Central Crater or at the Bocca Nuova at 3300 mt.

It will then be the turn of the Northeast Crater from where you will continue Etna Trekking towards the wall of the Lion Valley .

Finally, you will reach the Pizzi Deneri volcanological observatory - at an altitude of 2,800 meters - where you will again board the 4x4 vehicles to return to Piano Provenzana.
