Itinerary
Pre-book your entry ticket to the Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum and enrich your visit with an exclusive wine experience. Explore the museum at your own pace with either a paper guide or an audio guide, both available in several languages, and conclude your visit with a presentation of the Bordeaux vineyards followed by a guided tasting of two wines paired with local delicacies.

Located in the former residence of Louis XV's royal broker, the Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum pays tribute to the great wine merchants and the rich winemaking heritage of Bordeaux. The visit reveals over three centuries of history that have shaped the international prestige of Bordeaux wines.

The vaulted cellars, dating back to around 1720, illustrate the traditional work of coopers and the aging of wine in barrels, reflecting the practices of 19th-century wine merchants. With your chosen guide, enjoy a self-guided walk through two atmospheric historic cellars.

At the end of the visit, take part in a dedicated presentation of the Bordeaux vineyards, introducing key notions such as grape varieties, appellations d'origine contrôlée (AOC), terroir, and regional classifications. This presentation seamlessly leads into a commented wine tasting of two in-house selected local wines.

During the tasting, savor refined local treats including raisins dorés (chocolate-coated raisins) and traditional canelés de Bordeaux.
