Discover Secret Passages in Paris

As a visitor to Paris, you probably don't know that behind many of the chic Parisian boulevards are a gathering of charming cover-passages, or "les passages couverts," known for their hip, top-of-the-range shopping centers.

Armed with your camera and your friendly local guide, check out five of the secret passages located near the Louvre on the Right Bank. Though there used to be around 130 of them, many were destroyed and only 20 remain today, recently restored but with that distinctive French charm. The result is an atmosphere of a chic village, full of stylish shops, art galleries, and cute cafes, some of which have remained unchanged for 150 years.
