The presentation of the different themes and the explanations with the audio guides allow a visit at everyone's own pace; it's very interesting for both experts and novices!
Reviews: Saint Emilion Half-Day Trip with Wine Tasting & Winery Visit from Bordeaux

Our guide, Hugo , was fantastic. His knowledge was excellent and he spoke perfect English. He had all kinds of interesting facts about the region and wines in general. The small chateau we visited was wonderful and actually preferable to a much larger chateau
Reviews: From Bordeaux: Saint-Émilion Half-Day Tour with Wine Tasting

Pick up was easy in front of Cite du Vin in a very comfortable minivan, driven by our fabulous guide Ludmilla (Milla). After introductions we boarded the van and set off on a 40 minutes journey to the Coutet Winery. Along the way Milla gave us some history around the local area and where we were headed to. She answered all our questions and we had lots of them. The guide at the vineyard - George - was excellent with a great sense of humour and excellent English. There's so much to learn about wine making and wine. The tasting was informative and thoroughly enjoyable. It all seemed to pass so quickly though. We then drove to the tiny town of St Emilion and Milla went through the history of the area which was fascinating. We tried macrons as they were originally made which are very different from what we know as macrons today and then wandered around the village. The time just flew by and it was a glorious day weather wise too. We would all have like to lingered longer.
Reviews: From Bordeaux: St-Emilion Day Tour with Tastings and Lunch

The visits are great and I enjoyed it very much. Only thing I would change was the meal at lunch. The chicken was very meh and the compote is not so nice either.

Reviews: Full-Day tour to Saint-Emilion and Margaux, from Bordeaux
Guest User2024-09-28
This is a great all day tour for anyone keen on learning about two of the wine regions in Bordeaux. But be warned, they will NOT wait for you if you’re late for the pickup. I got stuck in traffic and got there 15 minutes late - I ended up finding my way to Saint-Emilion to join the group. So plan PLENTY of time to travel to the meeting point. Overall, I learned a lot on the tour. The guide, Valentin, was friendly and so were the guides we met at the various châteaux. Also, the lunch was delicious!
