Itinerary
Travel from Split or Trogir on this full-day tour to the most beautiful natural park in Europe, protected by UNESCO since 1979 as a World Natural Heritage Site. Plitvice Lakes National Park was founded in 1949, making it one of the oldest national parks in southeastern Europe.
Sit back, enjoy a three and a half hour long pleasant drive through the hinterland of Dalmatia and the Lika Region until you reach this famous UNESCO World Heritage site. During the ride, our tour guide will provide you with some historical and interesting facts about the park and Croatia and you'll pass by some truly stunning landscapes along the way.

Upon arrival in Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia's top natural attraction and the absolute highlight of Croatia's Adriatic hinterland, start your adventure on a hike through the fairy forest, following the guide on a 5-miles (8-km) trail to Gornja Jezera (Upper Lakes). Hiking through the park you'll be constantly amazed by its turquoise lakes, the beauty of the rushing waterfalls and the breathtaking views at the viewpoints. Plitvice Lakes National Park is made up of sixteen lakes that are connected by amazing travertine waterfalls and surrounded by picture-perfect woodlands. There are seven different routes and four hiking trails as well as boardwalks that go over the lakes and waterways.

After hiking, hop on a boat – it's time for a magical boat ride to get the best possible view at the lakes as you cruise along the clear water. Leave the boat behind and walk for a while to enjoy views at Donja Jezera (Lower Lakes). And for the final touch, trade the boat for a seat on a panoramic train to soak up the final breathtaking view of this ultimate fairytale destination.

In Plitvice National Park, nature has created 16 lakes and connected them with amazing travertine waterfalls. The park covers 29,685 hectares, with lakes making up 200 hectares and forests covering the majority of the area. During your visit, you may encounter a variety of species that have lived in the area since before the time of human arrival.
One of the main attractions is the 78-meter-high waterfall known as Veliki Slap, which is the highest waterfall in Croatia. In addition to the guided walks along wooden paths, you'll enjoy a boat ride across the biggest lake, and also a short train ride.

After a whole day exploring the magical forests and lakes, you will return to Split or Trogir where you'll be dropped off at the meeting point.
