We had a really amazing day. Our driver was brilliant and friendly so big shout out to him. Also Jacob messaged me a few days ago to tell me that there was a chance of poor weather for our original planned trip and he could move us to today free of charge so big shout out to him as well for the heads up because we got an absolutely epic day. It was clear skies and sunshine. Awesome experience.

We got lucky with the weather, overpacking gear in anticipation of the rain. The shuttle arrived in a timely manner and dropped us to and from our location. The trail was mobbed. It is well laid out and for two fit lads was a good workout. Toilets along the way and areas to take photos / stop for lunch. Hike of a lifetime. I would imagine the trail is extremely dangerous in more severe weather as some sections have very loose rocks / muddy slopes which were thankfully dry for us.

Punctual pickup at the agreed meeting point and good instructions for the Tongarino Alpine Crossing Track. There's also the option of being picked up back at the starting point if you have to cut the track short (for an extra charge). Everything was excellent; I highly recommend the service. Since I wasn't staying in a hotel but had rented a holiday home, I was dropped off right in front of it in the afternoon.

Excellent hike; Carlene was a fantastic guide, helpful, knowledgeable and managing the group well. Day began grey and wet but brightened up shortly into the walk and ended with blue skies and lovely weather. Made us feel that we should perhaps have gone on for the full hike (next time perhaps).
