The Operation Anthropoid Tour located in the Church of St. Cyril and St. Methodius offers a profound and historically significant experience, focusing on one of the most remarkable events of World War II. This church stands as a crucial site in the narrative of Operation Anthropoid, the daring mission to assassinate Reinhard Heydrich, a key figure in the Nazi regime. Guided by our knowledgeable tour guides well-versed in the operation's history, visitors are taken through the hallowed halls of the church and the crypt, retracing the steps of the Czechoslovakian resistance fighters involved in the assassination.
The tour might be followed by visit of Terezin - a military fortress built in the 18th century which converted into a concentration camp during World War II. The part called „Big Fortress“ became a ghetto-concentration camp for Jews, whereas the „Small Fortress“ was used as a Gestapo police prison. Terezin was not only a place of suffering but also a place of courage, self–sacrifice and the never ending struggle to save those who were destined to be victims of the Holocaust.
