Itinerary
The Musée d'Orsay is the only museum in Paris where the building is part of the exhibition as an example of 19th century architecture. It was the first railway station for electrical trains in Paris, transformed in museum in 1986.

On our way trough the galleries we will discover the extreme richness of this century, where neoclassicism, neo-Gothic, romanticism, eclecticism, Arts & Crafts, academism, realism, symbolism and of course impressionism meet on one spot.

The 19th century was also the period when industrial and technical development exploded, so we can see the first model of the Liberty Statue as well as the first photographs and movies created by the brothers Lumière.

This tour will give you a deep understanding of the diversity and richness of 19th century art.

We will go into the museum by skipping the waiting line. Main pieces of art we will see:
·         Impressionist's paintings by Monet, Manet, Renoir and many others.
·         Still lives by Cézanne.
·         Ballet dancers by Degas.
·         The concurrence between Van Gogh and Gauguin.
·         Sculptures by Rodin.
·         The realists like Millet and Courbet, as well as his provocative Origin of the World.
·         Architecture and urbanism of 19th century on the example of the railway station Orsay, the opera House Palais Garnier and the Parisian quarter around the opera.
·         Arts & Crafts and the beginning of stylists.
·         The beginnings of photography and movies.
