Itinerary
As this full-day (11-hour) excursion begins, you'll relax on a bus transfer to Verona and listen to your guide's comments about the trip highlights and the history of Verona and Sirmione. Take in views of the Veneto countryside and the scenic beauty of Lake Garda and its Mediterranean vegetation of olive trees, cypresses, magnolias, oleanders, and lemon trees.

You'll arrive in Verona at about 11:00 and then embark on a guided walking tour of the center. Visit the colorful and lively Piazza delle Erbe that was the site of the Roman Forum. See the house of Juliet with the famous balcony, the Piazza dei Signori, where you'll find the old City Hall, and the nearby Scaligere Tomb and Piazza Bra, which is the center of modern Verona.

From Piazza Bra you'll see the second-largest amphitheater in Italy (after the Colosseum), built in the first century for Roman performances and gladiator battles. It is now a venue for opera performances. After the guided tour you'll have some free time on your own.

Next you'll depart on the 30-minute drive to Sirmione, a tiny town on the banks of Lake Garda. In Sirmione you can enjoy an optional boat trip (of around 20 minutes) to the far side of the lake.

You'll have free time to explore the romantic peninsula of Sirmione and take in the town's narrow streets and its medieval walls and castle.

Depart Sirmione at around 16:30, arriving in Jesolo at 19:00.
