The tour was operated by Hairycow and was at the end of January. The organization was excellent. After I purchased the tour, trip.com contacted me to reschedule it because the tour with a stop at the distillery wasn't available that day. I was offered a tour on the day I selected but with a lake cruise, or other days from the list that included the distillery. I chose the boat ride and was not disappointed. The bus was comfortable, with restroom and snack stops along the way. The views were stunning; I personally didn't have enough stops for nature photography. But the views are so beautiful that I wanted to stop every 100 meters. Late January was a good time for the boat ride; the boat has two decks, open on top and large windows on the bottom, and is well heated. There's also a bar with alcohol (I recommend the lower deck and look for the windows with the Nessie sticker for photos). And even though the program didn't say there would be hairy cows, the company named after them certainly showed them to us. Thank you!★

We had a great day seeing standing stones and cairns at Clava Cairns. Sarah was so knowledgeable and informative about the whole area. We saw a Viaduct and some Highland cows. We visited Culloden Moor, which has a very interesting but sad history and we also visited Urquhart Castle. Sarah made the whole day enjoyable. It's good to have a guide with a lot of local knowledge. We liked being in a small group too.★

We had the best time with our guide Craig! We covered so many sights and activities and it was awesome to see the standing stones that inspired Outlander and take a ferry on the Loch Ness!! We learned so many historical and local facts about Inverness and Scotland. Definitely a highlight of our trip!★

Really nice trip around Loch Ness and along the river. Liam was a great guide and kept us informed and entertained about the towns and areas we were visiting. We always had enough time and I never felt rushed, but we got to see a lot (especially considering the short days in December). Exploring Urquhart castle and the boat ride on the loch were definitely worth it (this is an optional part of the trip), and Liam made sure we knew where we were going, and was right there to pick us up.
