Reviews: Japan Kyoto Kiyomizu-dera Temple + Yasaka Shrine + Nara Park + Fushimi Inari Shrine One-Day Tour

Guide Haehwa was the best!!! I asked for directions for the first time when I got to the bus stop in the morning, and it was Guide Haehwa~^^ Even though she said she wasn't Korean, she spoke so well that I had a very comfortable trip. She was also very punctual, so I'm glad no one missed the bus~^^ The bus tour was more enjoyable than I expected. Guide Haehwa~~ is the best!!!

Traveling alone, I booked a day trip to Kyoto departing from Osaka. 😆 Our guide, ViVi, was very friendly and attentive, providing excellent explanations in both Chinese and English. There was plenty of time for sightseeing, making it a very fulfilling day. I have wonderful memories of Kyoto. 😊 The matcha ice cream 🍦 was so delicious! 🤤

I went on a Kyoto tour with my family in January, and it was a truly satisfying trip. From the moment we boarded the tour bus early in the morning until the end of the trip, our guide, Haehwa, shared a wealth of valuable information about living in Japan. This was incredibly helpful not only for our Kyoto trip but also for our subsequent independent trip to Osaka. The tour bus was staffed entirely by Koreans, which made it comfortable. While I was a bit worried about the language barrier, our guide, Haehwa, provided detailed and friendly explanations in Korean, allowing me to focus on my trip with peace of mind. I was surprised by the sheer number of tourists at each Kyoto tourist site, but I was impressed by the tour's well-curated selection of Kyoto's key attractions. We included almost all the places featured on popular Kyoto travel blogs, allowing us to fully enjoy Kyoto in a short amount of time. One of the most memorable moments for me was when my child left his phone on the tour bus, leaving us in a state of confusion. Even after we had finished our trip and returned to Korea, our guide, Haehwa, was attentive and took care of everything, finding it for us. This must have been a difficult task, and I was so grateful for his kind and helpful approach. This experience has further strengthened my trust, and I definitely want to use this tour on my next trip to Japan. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Kyoto.

Thanks to our tour guide, Ms. Wang Ting, who was so nice when we brought our baby with us. We also want to thank the Japanese driver for helping us carry the stroller. You can choose your own way to explore each attraction during the itinerary. We chose a leisurely pace with our baby, and the rides between attractions were short. My daughter loved the Baumkuchen factory, a place everyone doesn't see often. We spent quite a while there, and it was great for taking photos. Traveling with a tour group was much more convenient and cheaper than taking our own transportation!
Reviews: Osaka & Kyoto Must-See Attractions | Katsuo-ji Temple + Arashiyama Scenic Area + Kinkaku-ji Temple
Guest User2025-11-26
This trip was unforgettable! Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) is magnificent, far more beautiful in person than in photos. The bamboo forests of Arashiyama are serene and picturesque in autumn, a truly refreshing experience. Katsuo-ji (Katsuo-ji Temple) is unique, with its mountainside covered in Daruma doll statues, full of both charm and Zen spirit. The itinerary was well-paced, and the guide's explanations were vivid and detailed, not only introducing the historical background but also sharing many local anecdotes. The service was attentive and thoughtful. Each of the three attractions was unique, both classic and off-the-beaten-path, and overall, I was extremely satisfied with the experience!
Reviews: one-day tour of Kiyomizu Temple in Nara, Kyoto, Japan [9-person small group optional|Hotel pickup|Chinese and English driver guide

The time was too short. We weren't scheduled to return to Osaka at the designated time (6:30 PM), and the driver/guide had already returned to Osaka by 5 PM! It was too rushed. We arrived at Kiyomizu-dera Temple at 12:35 PM, and had to get back on the bus to Osaka at 3:35 PM. If we went to Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka before Gion, there wouldn't be time to visit Kiyomizu-dera (3 hours including lunch). If we had another half hour, it would have been perfect.
