Once you visit the first park of your choice, you will receive a physical pass that can be used over a six‑month period to enjoy a collection of iconic wildlife attractions across Far North Queensland. Each park offers a unique way to experience the region's extraordinary natural environments, wildlife, and cultural heritage at your own pace.
Rainforestation Nature Park is an award‑winning, locally owned attraction set on 100-acres (40-hectares) in Kuranda's World Heritage Rainforest, offering three unique experiences in one location. Explore the rainforest on a World War II–era amphibious Army Duck as knowledgeable Duck Captains highlight native plants and wildlife on land and water. Discover Indigenous culture through the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, featuring traditional dance, the Dreamtime Walk, and live spear‑throwing and didgeridoo demonstrations, with the chance to try boomerang throwing. The visit continues in the Wildlife Park, where a self‑guided walk reveals crocodiles, kangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, snakes, cassowaries, barramundi, and the only Tasmanian Devils in North Queensland, including one of Australia's largest captive crocodiles viewed from elevated boardwalks.
Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, located in the centre of Kuranda, is home to more than 1,500 tropical butterflies, the sanctuary recreates a lush rainforest environment with a layered canopy, flowing stream, and waterfalls. All butterflies are local rainforest species and are hand‑reared on site, with the fluorescent green Cairns Birdwing butterflies being the undisputed highlight. Visitors are encouraged to wear bright colours to attract these spectacular insects and are welcome to stay as long as they wish, with entry allowing flexible returns for up to five days.
Wildlife Habitat is an award‑winning wildlife immersion park in Port Douglas, featuring open and interactive Wetlands, Rainforest, and Grasslands environments. Elevated boardwalks take guests from the rainforest floor to the canopy to see species such as southern cassowaries, Boyd's forest dragons, and vibrant Eclectus parrots. The Wetlands are home to a wide range of birdlife, including Black‑Necked Storks, while the Grasslands offer hand‑feeding of kangaroos and wallabies and sightings of endangered Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroos. Boardwalks also overlook crocodile lagoons, including the world‑first Predator Plank, with Wildlife Keeper presentations showcasing the power of saltwater crocodiles.
Cairns Koalas & Creatures offers another opportunity to connect with Australia's unique wildlife, complementing the experiences found across the region. This attraction focuses on close encounters with native animals, allowing visitors to learn more about Australia's iconic species in a relaxed and accessible setting as part of the wider multi‑park pass experience.
